Spectacular Sea Horses

Sea horses are tiny fish even if they aren't like tiny fish. They can see different ways at once. This way, when it is hunting for food, they can keep one eye out for food while one eye is looking for predators. Sea horses have tube shaped mouths. Its long tail is like a monkey's tail except that sea horse's tails are not that long and not furry. Sea horses are poor swimmers. They have no scales. They belong to a group of animals called osteichtyes, meaning "bony fish." Sea horses like to swim solo. It is rare when sea horses travel in groups. Sometimes they are found in corals. Coral looks like an under water plant but it's actually millions of tiny skeletons! Sea horses are like small predators because when it sees its food pass by, with amazing speed, sucks in its food! Mostly, tiny shrimp is its favorite food. Since sea horses have no teeth they swallow it whole. Sea horses have really good eyesight because they spot their food quickly even how tiny they are.
